Going to college is one of the most exciting times in your life. Making the most of that experience will depend a lot on how much effort you put into it. Of course, your studies come first and should be your primary concern while away at school, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun. Having a fully stocked closet of girls’ clothes as well as a dorm that would make anyone jealous will make your college experience a lot more enjoyable.

The Wardrobe

Everyone knows a girl’s clothes are her best friends and having the right clothes for the right college occasions is key. You will want comfy around-the-dorm wear for lounging and studying such as cotton t-shirts, yoga pants, and soft hoodies. For a night out with your girlfriends, try a cute dress paired with a patterned pair of flats to spice the outfit up a bit. Also, on days where you just don’t have the time or motivation to do your hair, head scarfs and hats can be your savior.

As for the classroom, fashion and function are the only two Fs you want. A simple pair of skinny jeans paired with an embellished top or plaid button down is comfortable and stylish and perfect for sitting through a lecture.

The Best Dorm Space

You want your dorm to be a versatile space that will allow you to focus on your schoolwork as well as let loose with your friends. Of course, no dorm would be complete without ample seating to accommodate all of your friends comfortably. Beanbag chairs and body pillows are a convenient way to have seating for your guests that can be stored away when not in use to give you more room to conduct your studies.

How will you have the brainpower to get through your mountain of homework and studying if you don’t have brain food? Keeping easy to make snacks and meal options in your dorm is perfect for those late night cram sessions or for the days where you just don’t feel like dragging yourself to the dining hall. Try stocking your dorm room with popcorn, canned meals like raviolis and soup, chips and crackers, and coffee—lots of coffee. Having a wardrobe that makes you feel confident and strong as well as having a room that can serve both your academic and party sides will help to make your four years at college a lot more exciting.
