I know that a Masters gives the opportunity to teach, but I’m not sure what would be open to me. A friend told me a Masters in English can definitely allow you to teach at a college level, but I found reason to believe that only community colleges will want someone with a Masters, as opposed to a Doctoral degree. If I wanted to become a professor at a university, should I get a Masters or just go all out and get a Doctoral degree.
